About Our Emerging Artist Program

Every Interplanetary Help Desk show features a lineup of local Austin artists, but our booking process looks a little different than what you may be used to. Our goal is to create well-run, meaningful shows that everyone enjoys— the crowd, the nonprofit, the sponsors, and the artists. To make that happen, we’re building a roster of trusted local artists so that we can pair the right musicians with the right events.

We call this our Emerging Artist Program.

  • Our quick application will help us get to know you and your music a little better.

  • If you are a good fit for our shows, we’ll add you to our Emerging Artist Program. We’ll pull from this roster when booking upcoming shows.

  • If you’re a good fit for a show and are available, we’ll book your act! We pay our artists above average and will never ask for a free show.
